Maya, the founder of Hounds of Humanity, 2007-2021

 Once she went to stay at a friend’s house when our humans were away, and they put her in a dress. I think that was the last time she wore clothes. She wasn’t a fan of dogs in outfits, but eventually came to appreciate dogs with good fashion sense.

 She was a stay-at-home dog, but if she had been a working dog, she would have been a therapist. She  had a natural ability to calm everyone down, dogs and humans alike. She even taught me and my littermate to stop being such unruly pups.

 She only hated a few things in the world. Fireworks, thunder, hunting, and baths.
 She practiced yoga every day.  This was her favorite pose.
